SCHEDULING

Currently, I’m scheduling new projects about 2 to 3 months out, and although I wish I could take on jobs with tighter deadlines, it’s often not possible for me to fit them into my schedule. If you’d like to work with me please note that you may need to plan on the project starting a couple of months from when you first contact me. I wish I could clone myself to take on more work for all you lovely people. Maybe someday!

TIMELINES

For me, a typical book cover job for a novel or nonfiction book takes about two months from start to finish. I generally have a similar timeline for picture book design. For picture book illustration, timelines can range from six months to a year depending on the complexity of the artwork.

PAYMENT

I usually break up project fees into two chunks. I ask for 50% upfront and 50% after all final artwork has been delivered.
